Shanghai 

In Chinese, Shanghai is abbreviated as ‘shen’ or ‘Hu.’ Shanghai is the biggest city in China, with a population of around 28 million. It is widely known that Shanghai is the commercial center of China, including areas such as Shipping, Trade, transport, finance, science, and technique. 

The Shanghai port is one of the largest international ports in China and is open to more than 200 regions and countries for business on a daily basis. In fact, the Shanghai port is one of the most important ports in the world, ranking first both in imports and exports.

 

Beijing 

Beijing is the capital of China and is also known as the country’s megacity. When it comes to Beijing, there are a few things that it is known for. Some of them are as follows:

Beijing has a population of approximately 21 million. It’s of importance to note that Beijing is of the four ancient cities of China and has a very extensive history rooted in imperialism.

Guangzhou

Shenzhen is known as one of the first-tier cities in China. That said, this major city is popular in the following areas of interest:

Shenzhen is deemed the Silicon Valley of hardware. If electronics is your thing, then this city is definitely the place for you. Tianjin 

The city of Tianjin is considered the second largest commercial and industrial area in China and the largest port for trade port in the north. Tianjin plays an important role in China’s industrial development because it is one of the original industrial bases.

In 2020, this major city had a population of approximately 20 million people and was among the top 25 cities in the world known for scientific research output. Currently, Tianjin is experiencing rapid change and is shifting its focus from the heavy and chemical industries and focusing more on the areas of high-tech, advanced manufacturing as well as modern services. 

 

Chongqing 

Located in the southwest region of China, the city of Chongqing has a population of just a little over 16 million people. Popularly known as a mountain city, Chongqing is also called one of China’s furnaces thanks to the very hot and humid summers it produces. 

Based on its very strategic location in the west of China, it plays a very important role as a key hub in that area. Chongqing is China’s biggest producer of automobiles and motorcycles. This major city is also responsible for producing a large fraction of laptops and mobile phones that supplies the entire world. 

Because of its strategic alignment with these major manufacturing hubs, the city of Chongqing is poised to continue to attract major stakeholders and investors from all over the world. 

 

Suzhou

Located in the southeastern region of China, the city of Suzhou is not too far from the popular city of Shanghai. It is popularly known as china’s Venice of the East. Why? Well, because this is a city most popularly identified by its beautiful waters.
